On January 19th I hosted my first solo pop up shop on 181st in Washington Heights, USA. Even though I pulled up a little late, and made people wait for me, the shit was still a success. I arrived at 6:07 and when I saw the 10 or so people that were out there, my anxiety went crazy. I went upstairs and realized that I should've began setting up 3 hours before the event was set to start. BUT, it was my first solo pop up shop so cut me some slack please. Over 4 hours, there were approximately 300 people in attendance and over 100 individual items sold. I wasn't expecting that at all. Ask Rick and H, I was only expecting a good 60 people to pop out, but quickly realized that that was a joke. I made pop up STAFF shirts for my guys, they were Orange. Shits were dumb bright. I ain't even get one but fuck it, I could make them shits again lol. The craziest shit that happened was Fred Focus coming through. For those who may not know, Fred Focus is a Washington Heights native, who shoots film from behind the lens of a camera. This has gotten him to work with rap artists such as Dave East. When he pulled up, all I kept telling myself was to get this man as many garments as possible, luckily he wears an XL. Being that this was the first pop up shop, I now know what to do for the next one.. which is most likely going to be either spring break, or during the summer. This summer we're taking over NYC by the way.
